This notice explains what personal information ND Safety Training collects, why, and what rights you have. It's written in plain English. If anything is unclear, just ask.
Who we are
ND Safety Training is run by Noel Donohoe, based in Co. Cavan. Noel is responsible for your information (the "data controller").

What we collect
- Enquiries. When you email, call, text or use the enquiry form: your name, company, phone number, email address and anything you tell us about the training you need.
- Course attendees. When you attend a course: your name, employer, the course and date, attendance, the results of any practical or written assessment, and the certificate issued to you.
- Bookings and invoices. Contact and billing details of the person or company booking the training.
We don't ask for health information. If you tell the trainer about an injury or condition so the practical parts can be adjusted for you, it's used only for that and isn't recorded on your file.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and give you a quote (because you asked us to).
- To deliver the training and issue certificates (to carry out the agreement with you or your employer).
- To keep training records, so you or your employer can show that training took place, for example to the Health and Safety Authority or an insurer (our legitimate interest, and your employer's legal duties).
- To keep accounts and invoices (required by Revenue).
We don't send marketing emails, and we never sell or rent your information.
Who we share it with
- Your employer, if they booked the training: attendance, results and certificates.
- Service providers who help us run the business, only as far as needed: email (Zoho Mail, with data stored in the EU), website hosting (Cloudflare) and our accountant.
- Authorities, only where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't lead to a booking: deleted within 12 months.
- Training records and certificates: for as long as the certificate is relevant, and up to 6 years after the course, so training can be proven if it's ever questioned.
- Invoices and accounts: 6 years, as required for tax.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, limit how it's used, object to how it's used, or get a copy to take elsewhere. Email info@ndsafetytraining.ie and we'll reply within one month. It's free.
If you're unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
This website
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking of any kind, and its fonts are hosted on the site itself, so your browser doesn't contact Google or anyone else.
The enquiry form doesn't store anything. It opens your own email app with your message filled in, and nothing is sent until you press send there. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, briefly processes your IP address to deliver the page and protect it from attacks.
